Hi

 

Can anyone recommend somewhere we can go for a couple of nights, we want to drive, probably max 4 hours, possibly camp if the weather holds up (thinking of going in the Easter hols), and we have a 7 year old boy, we're not asking much

 

We've not really seen much of SA and thought it was about time we did!!

 

Any recommendation would be appreciated

Easter hols is THE time that all campers go away here in Adelaide and so you will really struggle to get somewhere over the Easter Weekend but may have more joy afterwards!

 

The weather will hold, normally does till after Easter so will still be fine for camping! Make sure you take a jumper for mornings and evenings!!

 

There are so many places to go some of our favourites are by the beach Walleroo 2 hrs drive, Moonta 2 hrs drive, Point Turton 2.5 hrs drive, Robe 4 hrs drive, inland and always warmer Flinders 5 hrs drive, Claire Valley 1 hrs drive, Barossa 1 hrs drive.

 

Could go on and on! Hope you find somewhere!

Victor Harbour would be a good bet. 2 hours away, can stop in McLaren Vale on the way, Granite Island while there with the horse drawn 'bus', lots of cute shops etc.

For camping try the Flinders Ranges. As previously said Easter is not the best time as it can get pretty crowded wherever you go. We went to the Grampians one Easter and you literally had to queue up to go on a bushwalk!!!!!!!

KI? Depending on where you are, it'll be 4hrs all up plus the short ferry trip. Well worth a look if the weathers nice with Hotels or Camping as options, although as others have said, you may be too late to book up...
