Hi

I have just joined the Next Generation gym in War Memorial Drive right next to Adelaide Oval. For use of all facilities (pool, fitness, cafe, underground parking, etc) is about $90 / month, which is a bit steep, but there aren't many gyms with pools around. See link below.

There are a lot more around half the price for gym only.

Sorry to steal your post - but on the subject of gyms, are there any ladies only gyms in Adelaide?

Are there many general leisure-centres in the various suburbs? is there plenty of choice around where ever you live?

There are some gyms that specialise in ladies fitness -

Global Satori

Fernwood

Contours

There are probably plenty of others that offer women only times and classes too :)

Hi Pamela,

You may be intersted in a gym called Curves. they are popping up all over the place. Its $199 to join but they usually say $99 if you join on the day of looking round. $49 per month.

Its a 30 min circuit of resistence equipment. They measure you each month for inches lost and guarentee if you attend 3 times a weel you'll see a difference.

Personally I found it too impersonal as 20 or so women in a small room working out just wasn't for me. It would drive me crazy after awhile but 30 mins 3 times a week and guarenteed results? Might swing it for some.

Been a bit slack of late though but i love it and you don`t have to glam up and can just work out and be anti social if you like or if your keen for a chat there`s always someone there also!!!!!!!!!!!
