Hi sue and Gary
I'm at the end of applying for visa 457 just waiting for visa now, which have been told want be long. Went through a nursing agent for free they sort of lead me through the process, but its been a long ride. but hopefully soon to be over
we are currently applying for a permanent residency visa and have been using an agent (visa bureau) and although this costs around £1800 we feel it is well worth it as the help and guidance they give you is worth every penny. It may be worth considering using an agent as it may relieve some of the stress along the way!!!

Thanks everyone, both for the warm welcome and the useful feedback....sounds as though overall agents have proved to be a real boon, and anything which reduces the stress in this process has to be a good thing!
No doubt there will be a million more questions before we're through and we'll be picking everone's brains a few more times yet! :D
