G`day poms in adelaide! i was born and bread in Adelaide, my family first left England and migrated to Adelaide in 1853 so i guess you could say im a pom in adelaide, kinda , sorta, but not really. South Australia was officially settled as a new British Province on the 28th of December 1836, near the Old Gumtree in what is now the suburb of Glenelg North. This day is now commemorated as "Proclamation Day" in South Australia.

 

if anyone wants to add to the history of Adelaide here please do so, i looked for a history thread but didnt find one. probably just me im a bit thick still trying to find my way around this site.........
