Lots of blues and an over 35's team but not sure there is a regular meet up apart from games on at a reasonable hour ie the derby on Sunday was 10pm.

You could always start one up? :-)

Hi there.

Are there any MCFC supporters/clubs out in Adelaide? Moving out in Jan to the Barossa area.

Cheers,

JT.

Hi,

I don't want to hijack your thread, but just a reminder I asked if there was a Gillingham FC supporters club in Adelaide about 2 years ago and am still waiting for a reply:confused:, I expect none of the members were online that day, maybe I will have better luck today.:err::skeptical::unsure:

Hi James

I run the MCFC over 35s team in Adelaide. The sad thing is we don't have an official supporters club anymore. Although many of the members are still contact from time to time.

Here is the link to our website: http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/mancityover35s

cheers

Thanks fellow blues. Would be keen to play some footy when I get over. It would be nice to have regular meet up say once a month for beers and footy chat and discuss our impending domination!!

Still smarting from Sunday and the usual favouritsm given to the the Old Trafford hosts when in need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi fellow blues,

I know I'm responding to a fairly old thread, however I woul be interested to see if there are still any blues out there that meet up and watch games or generally get together? I'm new to Adelaide and having been a season ticket holder at city for 20 years before moving here it would be good to meet up with up any like minded souls who have endured the pain and pleasure that is being a city fan!!

Cheers

Craig

:pNot sure if you could find 11 city fans to make a team;), mind you looking good at the moment........for now

Appreciate this is an old thread, but is there an MCFC supporters club in Adelaide yet? I know there are ones in a number of other Australian cities. Also, where would be the best place to watch EPL games? We're moving to Grange in 7 weeks. Desperate to see the last few games of the season and see us hopefully pick up a few more trophies before the season ends!

Hi Mike,

Cant help with the City supporters club, but for watching EPL:

Rosemont on Hindley Street is the main one and youre as good as guaranteed to see whatever game your looking for in there (also a 24 hr bar at the weekend )

If youre basing yourselves in Grange a more local option would be the Rat & Parrot on Findon Road, Ive been in there a few times watching some games. Its a 'UK style pub'. Rosemont will always be the more reliable venue, depending on KO time.

You obviously haven't heard/read the news? Rosemont have canceled football.

With the laws changing too, the only guaranteed place is now the Casino.

I was not aware. That's a bit of a shockerooni.

The only reason anyone went there was to watch sport, the owner is saying the subscription costs have forced him to have a rethink, looks like hes going for a music themed venue.

Shame

Thanks for the help guys. Shame about the Rosemount! But I will certainly try the lovely named 'Rat and Parrot'. No EPL advertised on their website, but I'm sure they will have it on. Never been in a casino in my life but Adelaide Casino does apparently have all the EPL games.

Its will be OK soon, when the clocks change again, but only the Casino will let anyone in after 3am, and games after 12am on Sunday night (Monday) morning are also an issue.

Hi Mike,

Like most folk we know, we watch the City games at home on Foxtel. It's rare there is one at a good kick off time over here, it's often easier to stay up at home or to record it if it's a late Sunday game and you have work Monday.

7 weeks, you must be excited! Grange is a lovely spot. Me and the OH are from South Mcr so if you fancy meeting up for a drink and maybe catching a game when you get over, let me know!

Ha ha, brilliant! We live in Cheadle, the wife is from Withington I'm from Altrincham. Kick times...indeed. My dad lives in NZ and he faithfully gets up to watch them all. I've got a bit of a gameplan, and it runs pretty much along the lines of what you were saying, actually. Foxtel and all that, I was going to investigate that at some point. Do they show EVERY City game? Mind you, www.vipbox.tv is pretty good for watching any game you like, although it can be a bit hit and miss.

Glen Osmond, we were there back in August, my brother in law lives there!

Would be good to meet up, will get back in touch.

Might be good to start an Adelaide branch MCFC supporters club? Mind you, after Sunday...I was right behind the goal for that stupid penalty (thanks Demechellis again).

Cheers

Mike
