newbie hi, words of wisdom needed

Just want to say hi from a real newbie here. HAve started (what would seem to be a very long & expensive process) on a 475 State Sponsor. But you know what - we are just gonna keep at it! Have lots of family in Craigmore & looking to settle near the beech - any suggections of where would be gratefully received! Can some one give me some encouragement, the ONLY thing we are nervous of is the OH not getting employment. He's a Project Manager for Timber frame house construction, does any one know if there is much work out there? He can do estimating & auto cad work. We will have enough pennies for 6 months, all honest responses will be really appreciated.
