Hi -Just joined as hope to be making the move to Adelaide by the end of October - if the solicitors ever get there fingers out to move our house sale along!:err:

So much else to arrange and so little time. Still being made redundant in two weeks so will be able to devote plenty of time to getting things sorted.

Will be moving to southern suburbs as SJ's Sis lives in Hallett Cove and we hope to get some where not a million miles away

Hi and welcome, it seems like youve done all the hard bit!!:notworthy:

loads of people on here are already in Aus so you will make good contacts prior to going.

have you booked flights? if so what airline are you using?

Good luck with it all.

Nikki

Hi,

Yep done that - got the SDAS 496 Visa back in May. We were originally planning on going out in the new year, but the redundancy bought that forward a bit as I didn't fancy getting a new job for a few months.

Still not wanting to tempt fate so will only book the tickets for the flights when we exchange contracts. Will be flying with Singapore airlines, and may stop-over for a couple of days to break-up the journey.

It's also nice to hear that house sales happen at 21st century speeds and are not stuck in the 19th.

That is very sensible...nothing is written in stone on a UK house sale till those contracts have been exchanged. I have heard of lots of people who book flights only to have to cancel them!

Us on the other hand, had a house sale fall thru, so we booked flights to validate as we had to, only then for the sale to start again. So we never did use the return part of the ticket!
