Hi All,

Planning to move to Adelaide later this year:biglaugh:as should now be in cat 2 as SMP was released today. Feel that I should now get a move on researching as all becoming very real at last. We are a golfing mad family and my two boys (10+8) play golf competitively. Therefore we would like to live on a modern golf course estate. Anyone got any suggestions where we could start our search?

Woodcroft has two very good courses.

The Vines and Thaxted Park.

Many houses back onto these courses, one of our rentals has a great view over the greens ( had to duck a few times due to lousy players:shocked:)

Lots of golf courses around ... Belair, Flagstaff Hill, Cherry Gardens are 3 within easy access of each other south of the city and the Blackwood area is quite popular in terms of access to city/beach/hills ... and all of those golf courses. Quite a few properties in Flagstaff Hill back onto the golf course.

Grange/West Beach/Glenelg all have golf courses too.

I'm not a golfer so don't know which ones are good or bad but I'm sure there will be others on this site who have a more expert opinion to share.

There's a nice course at Fairview Park in the NE with houses that border it Tee Tree Gully Golf Club . My neighbour plays there. Also, the North Adelaide courses are great - have a great junior programme too North Adelaide Golf Club - North Adelaide Golf Club

Thanks for info. There seems to be alot of courses and all seem to be nice but maybe not affordable to live right next to. How far is Fairview Park from city centre as we also have a daughter aged 18 so trying to get something for everyone including not to far out for work.

Depending on if you hit the green traffic lights, you could make it in under 30 minutes! You have a huge shopping complex (Tea Tree Plaza)very close by,and the Obahn, which is great for a quick bus ride into the city.
