New members on last leg

Hi all,great to actually get on board after trying to reset passwords and all that jazz,we are not up to speed yet with computers,we have been reading through the links though and are finding them very helpful and also a bit settling as we are very scared.We are on the final straight just waiting on the visa now everything else has been sent,even the trades application which was a complete nightmare for us tracing 25 years of work when you have moved around a bit.Anyway don`t want to put anyone off.We are Rob (42),Faye (32),Erin (4) and Ben (1).We are looking forward to meeting with everyone on the site and when we get to Aus.We have targeted end of March to travel and any info on flights etc would be very helpful.We were told that we should get the visa around xmas by our agents but hey ho.Merry Xmas to all and good luck to all next year.

how exciting to actually having a sort of date already!

can't help with flights just yet ... we hope to go around june!

 

but i know of a few on here who go in february and april.

where do you live now? and where will you start your journey once in adelaide?!?

I'm sure the visa will be with you soon. This is a great forum and so many friendly people who have been there so know the ropes so to speak.

 

We're hoping to go in July next year. Waiting till eldest son sits his highers and then we'll try and get house sold etc. Mind you..we have to get the visa first

Hi,

good luck with the visa im sure it will be any day now as things have been moving quickly lately.

Wih regard to the flights, I have recently booked with singapore airlines for the end of Feb and found they offered the best prices if you want to go to Aus without stoping for long anywhere, we are only stoping at Singapore for 5 hours, £1550 for 3 adults, if you are on a PR visa they will double your baggage allowance to 40 kg if you ask when you book.

We hoped to come over at end of March as we thought it may be slightly cooler.We have sold our house in Derby already and are in rented so there isn`t much stopping us apart from shipping stuff but we are not planning on taking that much anyway.luckily we were moving house already when everything started to gather pace.So its all go now Xmas is over.
