Idiots Guide to Emigrating

Hi everyone

 

It's my first time on here as we've just decided to begin the process of emigrating. After some investigation it seems that SA and specifically Adelaide are the best place for us to head to.

 

Can anyone suggest what might be called a 'idiot's guide' on how to start and move the process of applying for a visa forward?

I suppose as with all things its taking the first step into unknown territory I'm unsure of so any pointers would be gratefully received.

First you need to do a points score http://www.workpermit.com/australia/point_calculator.htm

 

You thenneed to decide what visa you wish to apply for. Permanant ones will be better as you can claim more when there.

 

Another good site to look at and find yourself around is http://www.immi.gov.au/ this will give you loads of info.

 

Also have a gander at http://www.adelaidebound.com/ this will give you loads of info as to what is in and around Adelaide.

 

It also wouldn't be a bad idea to get a free consultation with a few migration agents.

I too would like an idiots guide, but there isn't one unfortunatley! However, you have joined a great forum in PIA and u can see there is a wealth of info on it. i read everypost!!
