Hi everyone

I had a bit of trouble accessing the site but hey I am here now!!!

Paul and i have two children Charlotte six and half years and Jack 2 years we have applied for our visa 136 back in august 07 money taken from our account november 07 just waiting to hear about medicals and police checks I know this is like asking how long is a bit of string but anyone out there applied for this visa with any ideas on how long we will be waiting? I will apologise now for all the questions I will be asking in the future. Thanks in advance Sharon

we also applied in august and i'll book our medicals today actually!

pcc's are hopefully on their way!

 

well ever the optimist i hope to get full ack within a couple of weeks and then hopefully a co a month later. and once the medials have cleared i still hope it wont' be much longer than a month after that - so aprilish?!?!

 

we'd like to move out in june so april would be great. would give us all the time we need to tie everything up!!!

Not sure how you applied for this and the money was taken later...but then the new and improved visa system, weyhey!

 

We came on this visa, submitted beg May 2006 along with a bankers draft for the money. Our meds and police checks were asked for in Nov. The meds got sent off in Dec and the police checks took a while - we sent the receipts off while we were waiting for the actual report to come back as this showed the fact that we were waiting for the processing and had met the deadline. They went off in Jan adn within about 2 days we had the request to invest the money (for our final 5 points) and once the receipt for that was sent off, it took about 2 weeks to get the magic letter!

We applied for the 136 too. Our Application was also submitted and then the money taken a couple of months later around June/July 2007.

 

We were asked to go for our medicals in August but they were really busy so could get in till mid September.

 

Our Visas were granted on the 9th November:D.

 

We sent our passports off to have the Visas put in and believe or not only had them back this morning - A massive releif considering we had already booked our flights for the 28th January - this delay was due to us getting married and me changing my name (which our agents obvioulsy think is quite unusal when somebody gets married)

 

I would say - and not been an expert or anything but i would reckon that you should be asked to do your medicals any time now with your Visas been granted around March/April time. This is only going on our time scale and it is a little hazy to be honest.

 

The best thing to do is try to forget that you are doing it otherwise every day seems like a week and every week like a month etc. It will come good in the end you just have to be patient. Everybody has to go through the same thing although very frustrating.

thanks so much for the replies Can't help but run to the front door everytime the post comes or check e-mail everyday maybe I need to emigrate of something to take my mind off it!! Anyway good luck with everything.
