I'm wanting to move to Adelaide with my family but I'm unsure of how I go about it. Can any oe help me out please.

It would help if you could give a bit of info, as in what trades/jobs you both have, if you want to do these in Aus, your ages and so on as it there are different visas you could apply for.

Following on from Snifter's link, there is a visa wizard on the Immi site -

That's your first step, figuring out the right visa for you.

 

After that, you just need to sort though getting rid/packing stuff up, booking flights and shippers, saying goodbye to everyone, booking first arrival accommodation, and then you're here (or there I guess...we're still in the UK for the next 6 weeks still).
