Coming to Adelaide soon

Just got laid off work here in Northern ireland. Thinking off taking a risk and going out to Adelaide on a working holiday visa with limited funds. Does anyone think that you could be successful gaining employment quick. I would love to make a new life for my self

I came on the same visa and also very limited funds. It took me 2 days to find waitressing work but 6 weeks to find full time temp work - longer than I expected. Most people I know found work faster than that but I'd want to be able to easily support myself for a couple of months and have a decent credit card limit too. If you can live cheap cheap cheap for a while until you secure work, go for it... what's life without a little adventure! So glad I did it...

I was thinking coming over with just a credit card with a 6,200 credit card limit with no hard cash. I was hoping to get a bar job or anything really from the off would appreciate anyone who could do anything to help thanks

I not sure about now but a few years ago you had to do a course to work in a bar as a bartender you had to gain some kind of certificate my daughter was going to do it so look into it before you leap things are not great work wise over here at the moment so think about it before comming over.

We were down Rundel street when we were over last week and there were quite a few wanted adds for staff were in the bar windows.

I reckon Ian is right ,my neice is over at the moment,she was quite disgruntled she wasn't allowed to work behind the bar.

How long are you planning on staying in Adelaide?

To look up on seek.com.au under sales for a job as a Sales Rep for Simply Energy, an electricity and gas retailer here in Adelaide. They are always recruiting new people base rate of $700 plus you can earn great commission too

I moved to adelaide myself from Belfast, Northern Ireland only 9months ago and got this job straight away, experience isn't neccessary (i was straight outta school at 18) and I can afford to pay rent on my place, eat, live, and socialisme and save for travelling

 

So with this job you would definitely be able to build q good life for your self here.
