Hi Rach,

Welcome to PIA! There seems to be a lot of "newbies" on here at the mo, so your not alone.

Hi Rach

My eldest Lucy is also 15 and all for it too so if even at that age she would leave her very good friends behind to embrace what Adelaide has to offer is enough for me to think that if my kids don't think England has much to offer them then lets give it a go. Keep working on the hubby and welcome to pia you'll find it invaluable

This is a great forum, you are right.

It is very good for kids, I think. My eldest, now 14, told me that we did the right thing bringing the family here. When we first got here, it was terrible with her. The tears, tantrums, dramas - she tested every nerve in my body! So relief that she can now see the positives!

Nice to have a newbie!

Hi there Jill my daughter just cant wait even tho she has great friends here...shes quite mature and knows why we want to move and realises friends come and go (familys move on go to uni and what not), how has your lil lad the 12 year old taken to oz?

i have an 11 year old lad and he says he dosent want to go, hes quite a popular lad at school and i have told him he,ll be fine and that he'll make lots of new friends in oz so hes ummming and arrring about it at the mo.Is there plenty of kids our kids ages or will it be a case of them trekking to see buddies, Ive got no concept of the distances in Adelaide as i know everything is spaced out...but would hate it for the kids not to play out on a evening/weekends because they live far from friends, sorry im flapping on ill close off now heehee thank for listening ....anybody!
