Snowing in Christchurch

It's snowing in Christchurch, and I'm in Adelaide! I'm missing that shared-experience of snow and freezing cold and soup-sharing and walking in the snow and tossing snowballs, and kids home from school and all that.

Welcome to Adelaide. We miss a lot about NZ but I have to say not the cold winters - although it does feel a bit chilly here at the moment. We do miss the woodburner and the smell of fires in the air outside but not the freezing cold mornings when you can see your breath in the air - inside the house! I'm sure there are one or two other things you won't miss about Christchurch too.

I remember one morning thinking to myself, "at least there's not ice on the inside of the windows. ... oh wait, there is! ... ":biggrin: cold has certainly been redefined, though going into our third winter i am definitely acclimatising!
