Hello hello hellO!. Anybody have an idea if I need a visa to go to southpacific islands via P&O cruises? Ive got a foreign passport but I'm an australian resident. Even the P&O cruise staff are not sure if we need it or not. this is our first cruise and we purchased it directly online without any travel agent, so we dont know if we do need one. please anyone.. help?

I think it depends on what country your foreign passport is from. When you travel overseas, it is your passport that counts, not your residency, so check with the consulate of whatever country issued your passport whether you need a visa or not. Until you get an Australian passport, you are a citizen of the country whose passport you hold.

We did some of the South Pacific on a cruise recently. On our Aussie passports. No visa's needed.

Difficult!

I'd be in touch with immigration in Oz to get some official decision.
