We're a family of 5 from Swansea in Wales, We arrived in Adelaide Oct 2011. Enjoying life so far beautiful beaches, scenery and glorious weather but miss our friends heaps so much at times it makes us contemplate the move!

Looking for people with similar interests. We're 30 & 33 love football especially Swansea City and enjoy socializing and as we've found nightlife is nothing like the UK and as much as we love BBQ's and get togethers we crave adult nights out and adult conversation.

Hi, we are a family of 6 living in Aldinga. We are 34 and 42 (i'm the younger 1!). If you fancy meeting up drop me a pm.

Hubby loves football but not Swansea, he's a Man Utd fan!

It'll take time, making new friends as most adults already have a circle of friends. We've found people friendly on the whole, maybe its worth joining some local groups or gyms/clubs to meet new peeps. The nightlife here is certainly nothing like Swansea and at first pubs and bars seem really small compared to the ones on 'Wind Street'.!!

We tend to enjoy east terrace and rundle st in the city and the casino, as they have great bands and disco on fri/sat nights..

Also went to the 'Garage' nightclub a while back and it had a good vibe and a mix of all ages

I miss 'Wind Street' haha

We've been lucky that we have met a good variety of friends but they don't socialize outside of their garden! I'm just feeling a little old before my time. It's nice sometimes to 'dress up' and feel nice but at this moment in time I don't have the option.

Nice to hear off some fellow swans

Hi Swanweajacks and Vickiann,

We're in Port Noarlunga south and would enjoy meeting up. We have children though, so getting glammed up and going out can be tricky (especially with family / sitters in the UK). However if you fancy a beer Jon is an avid Man U fan and loves a beer at the casino - while I enjoy meeting with girlfriends and having lunch or a drink to put the world to right.

We'd love to meet up - we're keen to make new friends in this exciting place.

We're also from Swansea area, moving out in the next few months. I'm 41, the wife is 38 but we're both going on 21 ;)

We have a daughter who will be 5 in July. We will be up for a drink or two whether it be BBQ or bar.

Hoping to relocate to one of the southern suburbs.

Keep in touch.

Hi we're in the same boat, our kids (21 & 19) are still back in the uk and i'm missing the buzz and vibe of them and their mates, missing my girl friends lots and need to get out more, but even though i'm normally a confident sort of person i'm finding it difficult to get myself out there, my husband and I would love to meet more people for a bit of social time and i'm always up for a girly meet up, we're in west lakes but happy to go anywhere x Debbie & Mark
