Guest Sharron & Andrew

Hi,

I have just joined this site today as we are hoping to migrate to the Adelaide area.

We have been doing quite a lot of research and are attending a seminar in Leeds on 11th May 2008, but my head is spinning.

We have been told by several companies that Andrew qualifies for a skilled visa, but I am a bid worried about appointing a company to deal with the application.

I wondered if anybody had any recommendations for us, the best companies usually gain there business through word of mouth (I know Andrew does)!!

Thanks for any help it is very much appreciated.

Hi Sharron,

Welcome to PIA.

We used Four Corners and found them to be really helpful. They also have a great website that you can use but only if you are a client.

Hope all goes well for you and you get a good agent.

Welcome to PIA,

We did the whole thing by ourselves so can't help with the agent thing. I really wouldn't worry as regard the visa. If they say Andrew qualifies then he will.

Good luck

Pete

When we started this journey we tried The Emmigration Group based in Chester, however we personaly found them expensive and not that helpful, we then searched the net and looked at recomondations from this site and are now using Go Matildia based in Southampton our agent there is great allways positive and full of answers and we email her loads.

Thanks for the information about The Emigration Group, we are attending a seminar in Leeds run by them on 11th May, I think we will use it a a fact finding mission only.

Several people have recommended Go Madilda so I have contacted them and one of their agents is going to contact me this week, if that goes well I will definately be using them, so thanks again to everyone who has kindly given advice, it really does help!

Hi Welcome to PIA,

I'm being a cheapskate and going off my own back, not through an agency, I felt that the extra hassle was worth the savings, I didn't feel the money the agencies were asking for were always fair, plus the one I was with gave me 30 days to pay just over 2K, prob won't spend that in total!!! plus there are heaps of lovelly helpfull souls on here that can put you right from time to time!

good luck and welcome to the test of patience that is visa application!

yep we are going it alone on-line visa, my husband knows whats what:biglaugh:

and lodged our visa on-line seems good so far.

had police checks, medicals done and sent off etc so fingers crossed.

Doing it this way(on-line without a agent) seems striaght forward, they e-mail you to tell you what they want you to do next, what stuff to scan over etc.

only speaking as a wife coz i aint doing all this document stuff hubster is,

well goodluck you guys
