Hi,

I have just started the process for the 475 visa, hoping to move out with my two teenage daughters, can anyone tell me if its acceptable to be a female barber? also which area is best for teenagers? eldest daughter is also a hairdresser, currently working for toni and guy so she would be looking to work in similar salon.

Would appreciate any info anyone could give...

many thanks tina:cute:

Hi Tina welcome aboard,

Sarah may be on later and give you an idea. She is a hairdresser out there and will tell you how it is. \good luck with your plans and hope it all works out for you.

There are Toni and Guy salons here, www.toniandguy.com.au/rundlest.html - 29k so she may be able to contact them directly. There are always jobs for hairdressers advertised in the papers. My friend owns a salon and she says that most of them only work part time once they finish their apprenticeship. Lots of men go and get their hair done at salons, so you would probably be able to get something there. There are a few "barbers", but they are usually small and in the older suburbs.
