Hi there, great forum by the way.

We are hoping to make the move to Adelaide next year and are looking at different options, and exploring many avenues.

We have family in the area and just want a new start, an adventure and hope we can find all the help and answers here :notworthy:

Hi John

Thank you for welcoming me :)

Pretty much yes, all of the above.

I specialise in vehicle body repair as well as custom work, mechanical, electrical etc.

My partner Katie is a recruitment consultant for Sugerman.

I think we will rent for a few years and see how it all goes.

So yeh advice on anything and everything really, maybe some guidance of where to apply for jobs, or maybe even apply on here?

hamps....sounds like you've got just the skill set for the 4WD / Campervan / Camper Trailer / Grey Nomad Mob

We have several manufacturers in Adelaide.

Plus there always lots of people looking to customise their rigs, post market, as well:

Operators are currently catching up with the new Solar/ LED / continuous LPG- Diesel injection technologies.

It's a surprisingly big (and still a very vibrant) industry, given that so many Australians are cashing in their chips for early retirement.

The big operators include ARB, Cavallier and Jayco, to name a few

....Pick up copies of the specialist magazines, to get a feel for the market :

"4WD" ; "Offroad"; "Camping & Caravanning" etc etc.

JB :swoon:

Sorry JB I didn't see this first off. I don't think commercial or 4x4 and caravans is the trade I want to get into. I'm a car guy
