New member to PIA

Hi everyone, I'm a new member to PIA, but not to PIO.......

 

We got our visa's back in May, but are now having problems selling the house, great timing....

 

Anyway we are heading to Adelaide some time soon (hopefully) and thought I should introduce myself, to hopefully make some new friends.

Welcome to PIA. I read a fair bit over on PIO but don't post much. Its far too busy for me, I can't keep the pace. Can't believe its taken you so long to find your way over here.

But at the moment we have no idea what area we are heading to. So maybe all you lovely people could tell me about the area you live in and what it's got going for it.

 

BTW we have 3 kids of the ages 14 and twins of 11.

Like you waiting to sell house(as so many others are on here - very frustrating but we had this conversation yesterday)

 

Have you got 3 kids in total or 3 plus the twins?

 

We have 4 kids aged 3,7,9 and just 11

 

Have you been to Adelaide before?

Where are you hoping to head for and no point asking when as i presume it depends on selling the house!

We got just the 3 kids, and they are bad enough at times,

 

No never been to Adelaide before, in fact, never been to Oz, before. But will probably have to do a trip later on in the year to validate the visa's.

pain in the @rse is more like it!!

Chin up - been there,done that,increased my quota of grey hair.

 

Nothing much you can do by the sound it - like wading in treacle.

 

I really do feel for you and those in the same position.

 

Chains just don't seem to happen here.

 

Use your time wisely though,clear all that crap/plan/plan for all contingencies.

 

Have n evening together with a bottle or 3 of Aussie wine.

hi ya KP NUTS the laast time we met was at the half way house for that meeting..well im now in adelaide well mawson lakes ive heard a lot of folks in uk are having probs with selling homes i was lucky to sell my home in december last year at full asking price. but anyroad welcome to PIA cant really say what places to got to live but would say steer clear of elizibeth have been told its a crap area plus its way north of city just come on over and look around adelaide and get a feel of the place

You sold your house just at the right time, looks like we will have to come and validate the visa's later this year, (great money that we didn't want to spend) but hey ho, at least it gives us another 4 years after that.

 

So you can't make the next Essex meet then???? 13th July @ 2.00pm onwards, normal place...
