475ers coming to Adelaide mid 2009

Hello all!!

 

My family and I are coming to Adelaide in mid-2009 - 2 boys aged 4 and 6, hairdresser wife and me in sales.

 

Mad keen diver, photographer (combine the 2!!) and looking forwards to a warmer life!!

 

Any advice on where to live or avoid appreciated, will have a good look around the forum and ask questions where I can't see answers!!

This question comes up so many times, and soemtimes it can get quite heated heated:huh:.

 

You have to consider your personal circumstances, where your going to work,

Do you mind travelling an hour to work?

Do you want to be near the Beach, Hills, or the City?

What are the schools like?

Whats public transport like?

What is there for the kids in the area?

Shops nearby etc etc.

 

answer some of these question and then you can seriously start to tick/cross off certain areas.

 

We are in the South in Seaford it ticks all of our boxes but everybody is different and EVERYONE has different views of where they live and where they would not live,

Thank you, and point taken - we will rent for first 6 months min, to get our bearings, so schooling for eldest son a priority, job finding (assuming I do not have a job to go to) 2nd priority. Parks and good atmosphere probably top of list to start....had a look at some of the where to live posts and point taken about heat...... ....think we probably need to start somewhere near a beach or the family would never forgive me....

We said that about beach life before we left for Oz.........that was priority on our family tick box.

Would be interested in your Seaford experiences, we have looked at Port Noarlunga area as a possible.....along with about half of the rest of Adelaide!!
