Hi Guys!

CONGRATULATIONS ON BEING BACK ONLINE!

It'll make you feel a little bit closer to everyone now.. and you can keep up with all the gossip again!!

How are you finding west lakes? We'll be there in 4 weeks!! And will be looking around West Lakes / Grange / Henley areas... But we don't have any kids and just want somewhere reasonable to live, with no hassel. Would be interested on your views on the area..

Not long till the dogs arrive and you'll be complete again! Sounds like you're settling in really well!!!

west lakes is a really nice area to come to, it's mainly full of oldies but there are also quite a few families about. we are 5 min in the car from a few beaches and the westfield shopping centre (oh yeah and the aami footie stadium where they play some odd game called aus rules football ! lol). there's no pubs close by but there is one or 2 near westfield, most people drink at home or on the beach.

we also looked at mawson lakes which is a newer version of west lakes but we liked the fact west lakes had already been developed and mawson lakes has a lot of apartments which obviously wouldn't be good for our dogs! lol

where do you plan to stop when you first arrive here? we stopped at the oaks embassy on north terrace in the city as we needed to get a lot done and the hotel is central to most things.

anything you need to know just ask on this site as we found it really helpful

As you get used to Adelaide you will find West lakes is a good location, specially when the temp rises and you can go the beach to have a walk in the cool breeze. It's very easy to get down south, "Tapleys hill road" in none rush hour, and easy to get up north.

we live no where near there,LOL

Welcome to the the Western Suburbs and Australia. You haven't found the pubs yet obviously!

The Bartley Tavern, The Carlisle, The Lakes Resort, The Birkenhead Riverview Tavern etc are all within easy reach.

Bet your looking forward to getting the dogs back and when you do there is a great little Vet's at 109 Semaphore Road, tel: 8249 9999 we found them really good and very friendly.

Good luck hope all falls into place for you.

Hi Andy and Ange,

Hope all went well today and that the dogs are settling in well. It's a great feeling when you collect them.

Cheers

Martin
