  1. I’m looking for someone who can build a fence, perhaps Colorbond, for,a small privacy fence. I’m hoping for this to be completed within the next 2-3 weeks. Please PM for details. Thank you Em
  2. PM sent, Tamara. Let me know how it goes. Cheers.
  3. Tamara, I can give you a name of someone we used for a new installation. They do maintenance too. Let me know and I'll send you their details.
  4. It'll take some time but once you're here, you can easily network. Best of luck to you!
  5. Hello Tamara I use a Navig8r model "Crash Cam". It has full HD, a built in microphone, an auto bump record feature and a motion detection recorder. It does the job recording the numerous speeders, meth heads and road ratbags. My husband gifted this to me so I can't say I did my own research beforehand.
  6. I sent you a PM, Kadina.

  8. Yes, Sammy it does matter. Logic would dictate that if the government is trying to save money, why would they hire people again just to appease those visa applicants who think that once they pay their fees, the government then has to work on their(your) timeline? Its a different sysyem here than than you might be used to. A visa is a privilege, not a right. Everyone is equal in Australia so you just have to wait your turn. We've all had to wait regardless of visa class and some fees have amounted in the tens of thousands of dollars.Whether someone is from Europe, North America, Asia or India, everyone's application is thoroughly checked and is in a queue. I know it's frustrating but getting angry and slandering this system is futile and unproductive.
  9. You're not not the only one waiting and there are a limited number of workers due to government cutbacks. It's rude to insult these people when you have no idea what is going on outside of your limited sphere. Be positive.
  10. I would suggest you buy a dash cam. This is the better modality to present the best available evidence rather than an eye witness version of events. Although a defence counsel could try to accuse the witness of moulding the narrative after viewing the video after several times, the counter to this would be for the witness to begin the narrative while watching an event as it's being recorded. If one makes contemporaneous statements while the event unfolds eg "oh my, that car is going to hit ____" , that will show that there was no preparation of the evidence.
  11. I think I understand now why the traffic on this site has slowed to a crawl. Curly, it would be prudent to talk to someone who has lived in the bush or Port Pirie in this case and not rely on someone's personal preferences, which is oft the case, otherwise it's similar to reading someone's Facebook page. There are a few posts online that will give you more info than here. The only thing I know about Pirie is that they have Woolies where we stopped in to buy food before we headed out to the Ranges! All my best.
  12. What would you prefer? Stay unemployed in Adelaide or work a couple of years in Port Pirie, make money and then plan your next move? It would take years to be significantly exposed to any lead poisoning so I wouldn't even factor that in. Be practical and ignore the snootiness from others. You can make a home anywhere you want to, many of us have done so. Good luck!
