Hello all, Can someone tell until which date is the onshore 887 applications processed please. I have seen a lot of new offshore 887 applications getting finalized but when was the last onshore 887 application approved. regards

But I was wondering if the covid-19 concessions apply in this case? I applied on 887 on 17th October. (I am talking about the onshore 3 month concession, so isn't it 9 months of full-time work instead of 12?)

Hi Guys, I have a query regarding overseas holyday time during these 2 years of stay for 887. We arrived in 02/Sept/2018, got a full-time job from 25/Oct/2018. But from 05/Oct/2019 - 03/November/2019 (29days )we went back to India for holydays. I applied for 887 on 17/October/2020. So i have had my friends tell me I should have waited 2 more weeks and applied after 03/Nov/2020, but honestly when i applied i was under the impression that 4 weeks of annual leave is allowed per year when you apply for 887. Am I at wrong here. Thank you. I am getting too anxious now after learning about this !!

Hello, Getting an offer from different region other than the sponsored state, seems to be a fair reason to ask for a release. But what happens at the time of applying for 887?The visa condition of 887 clearly states that the applicant must live and work in the sponsored state/region.. Can someone give more info on this? may be post relevant links or related forum posts? Thanks in advance. !!

I am posting this here because i find a large number of existing 489 holders active here, apologies if i am breaking any forum rules(sorry admin, i am unable to find active 489'ers !!). My family (2adults+Infant) has been granted 489 visa recently and is moving soon. We understand that there is no assistance from government for child care etc. Can someone on 489 tell us 1. Cost for child minding/child care for 489, (as the rebate is applicable to only permanent residents) - We are both qualified, skilled individuals and expect to find work, but what are the costs for non-residents? [i came across a blog that says 60-100/Day for a 9-5 session, but wanted to know the ground reality]. 2. Is the new arrival waiting period applicable for 887 as well? [i know its 2 years before you receive any kind of support, but i came across a comment that says '887 is granted medicare,FTB,Child care B, CC rebate etc but not Newstart allowance or Sickness allowance']. Please comment (I am a new member of this forum joined 10 mins back, please be kind !! )
