    887 Visa - What's the update?

You know what, maybe they processed that one March file so that next month, based on that one file that they processed, they can say the processing time is 11-12 months. Maybe they thought they would get less complaints and calls from us if they did this.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Hey Russki, I just checked, I don't think 489 holders are able to extend their visa.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

No, i meant my former employer always transfered my super money after the due date set by ATO. I gave immi my super statement and they will be able to see the late payments from the transaction date. But this is not my fault right?

George’s intention was to get us to play on the safe side guys... so it’s fine. And I’m glad everything is clear now...

    887 Visa - What's the update?

I consulted with 2 different agents myself in the past. They both said I can work in any occupation while holding 489. Last year (this was long before I lodged my 887 application), I also called immi and asked them about this. the operator said I don't need to work in my nominated occupation. Now, the picture that @George posted earlier is a bit shocking though to be honest. Maybe they just implemented that recently? But I for one never heard anything like that 3-4 years ago.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Gosh, this topic is catching a big fire. Look guys, the way I look at it, if you are applying for visa 887, then u need to meet the requirements for visa 887. NOT 489. And this is what it says on the immi website: "You must have lived and worked full-time (at least 35 hours a week) for at least 12 months as the holder of an eligible skilled visa. Nowhere does it mention or use the word "skilled" or "nominated" or "occupation". You just need to work at least 35 hours a week and get paid for those hours. Period.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Well, that's the only condition attached to my 489 visa. Says NOTHING about having to work in my nominated occupation. Additionally, not too long ago Russki did explained that her case has nothing to with the work and living requirements.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

If you have more supporting documents now, might not be a bad idea to withdraw your application and re-apply again with more documents? But I don't know how fast you can withdraw and re-apply though.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

If you're talking about bridging visa that I get after u applied for 887 then the answer is no.. because it's not an eligible visa...

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Nope. Why do u think it will be refused?

I don't think "low volume of applications" is accurate. I don't think "low volume of applications" is an accurate statement.
