    887 Visa - What's the update?

My payslips actually don't have a company logo on them... Is there anyone here who submitted payslips that didn't have a logo and still received a grant without being asked to re-submit certified copies of the payslips? Please help me get my peace of mind back...

Hi @Kapil, could you share with us the email that you received? Were you asked to certify your documents like @Riaz? Thanks

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Wow, what's up with the AFP requests? Looks like everyone now has to renew the AFP and PCC.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Bank statements (first page only if you only want to prove your address), your mobile phone bills and a stat declaration from you will probably be enough. You can also use promotional letters (like your bank offering credit card, etc.) with your name and address on it as additional proof.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Guys, when COs ask for more work/residency documents, do they usually ask for certified copies?

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Hey Russki, can you say “more and more employers now require job applicants to tell them upfront what visa they hold and what their working right is on seek.com.au (australia’s no.1 job posting site). And in most cases people who are not permanent resident or citizen get dismissed immediately.” Thanks.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Quick question: Those of you who have applied for 887 and received a bridging visa A. Does it say "no conditions" in your BVA or do some of you have conditions attached to your BVA? Thanks

Hey thanks for the reply. Is it true that I need to do a health check to get it?

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Hi guys, has anyone applied for Bridging visa B before? Could you please tell me what process I'll have to go through? And what documents I need to apply for BVB? Thanks

    887 Visa - What's the update?

This is pretty frustrating. More and more job advertisements on SEEK require you to tell what visa you are holding. I think these days most employers will dismiss your application immediately if you are not a citizen or permanent resident. So sickened by this...

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Hi there, did you give exactly 52 payslips though? Because if you submitted more than 52, with or without the payslip that had less than 35 hours, you still would've received ur grant I think.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

You know what, maybe they processed that one March file so that next month, based on that one file that they processed, they can say the processing time is 11-12 months. Maybe they thought they would get less complaints and calls from us if they did this.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Hey Russki, I just checked, I don't think 489 holders are able to extend their visa.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

No, i meant my former employer always transfered my super money after the due date set by ATO. I gave immi my super statement and they will be able to see the late payments from the transaction date. But this is not my fault right?

Late super contributions can get u trouble? My former employer was always late in paying me my super. Sh*t!

George’s intention was to get us to play on the safe side guys... so it’s fine. And I’m glad everything is clear now...

    887 Visa - What's the update?

I consulted with 2 different agents myself in the past. They both said I can work in any occupation while holding 489. Last year (this was long before I lodged my 887 application), I also called immi and asked them about this. the operator said I don't need to work in my nominated occupation. Now, the picture that @George posted earlier is a bit shocking though to be honest. Maybe they just implemented that recently? But I for one never heard anything like that 3-4 years ago.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Gosh, this topic is catching a big fire. Look guys, the way I look at it, if you are applying for visa 887, then u need to meet the requirements for visa 887. NOT 489. And this is what it says on the immi website: "You must have lived and worked full-time (at least 35 hours a week) for at least 12 months as the holder of an eligible skilled visa. Nowhere does it mention or use the word "skilled" or "nominated" or "occupation". You just need to work at least 35 hours a week and get paid for those hours. Period.

    887 Visa - What's the update?

Well, that's the only condition attached to my 489 visa. Says NOTHING about having to work in my nominated occupation. Additionally, not too long ago Russki did explained that her case has nothing to with the work and living requirements.
