  1. Question, does any of the experienced folks know what all we need to do after getting PR? Apply for permanent Medicare Card is one. Anything else? I am a bachelor, so i don't think i would qualify for any other benefits or not.
  2. Also, i had added my mother by mistake in the application. But when i realised, i submitted form 1023 to report my error. Didn't get any questions from CO, straight Grant.
  3. I did not add any Uni documents. But since others in this forum had been asked to upload English language score, I proactively added an IELTS Academic test report which i had taken in April 2018 for some academic purposes.
  4. Just got my PR few minutes ago ... Applied 15th Feb 2019 Updated all documents. Payslips, Tax Notice, Super Annuation statement, bank statement showing salary and rent, utilities bills, landlord statement, etc. PCC and AFP PCC. I visited India once for a week after PCC expired but CO didn't ask for new PCC. AFP PCC i uploaded new one proactively after expiry of previous one. CO Marea Let me know if you want any other information. Stay strong ... !!!
  5. Don’t be under any false expectations, all 489 visa holders and those on bridging visa are temporary skilled visa holders. If you see the screenshot I have shared from the article, it talks about those on 2 year visa and 4 year visa. Bottom line is, if you have a job, great ... keep going ... if you don’t have a job, you can withdraw $10k from super ... if you can’t survive on that, you can leave the country as government will not provide any support on job seeker or job keeper front.
  6. To everyone saying we are not TRs, read the below notification. We are TRs. We can withdraw $10K and if you can’t support yourself even after that, you can leave the country. Good news for those who have just gotten 489 and have been laid off, their time in Australia will be counted towards work experience requirements for PR if they get reemployed after the pandemic. https://minister.homeaffairs.gov.au/davidcoleman/Pages/Coronavirus-and-Temporary-Visa-holders.aspx
  7. Here is a detailed answer and logic to your query. Technically, you are correct. The eligibility conditions are calculated at the time of application review. E.g. if you become inadmissible after filing the application and before the application review, you will be considered inadmissible. Your next question should be, if that is true, then why don't all applicants pre-apply while waiting for eligibility conditions to be met? This is where you need to look at immigration law as a whole and not look at individual parts of the immigration process in isolation. The way immigration department ensures people don't pre-apply and game the queue system, is by making the very first question as following: If you select 'No', application will not be submitted. If you select 'Yes', application will be submitted and get into the processing queue. However, you will be committing misrepresentation which will have severe consequences, including you being barred to apply for any visa for 5 years(not sure if that is the bar duration but its some period of that sort).
  8. Not sure why there is so much debate about this ... Simple solution ... Check your VEVO Conditions ... you will get to know what area changes apply to you and what don't ...
  9. Hello Friends, I added my mother as a family member and need to remove her from the application. Can someone share the format for Form 1023? Thanks
  10. Hello Friends, Is it common to have these documents being "recommended" for uploading? Form 956A Appointment or withdrawal of an authorised recipient I am not taking assistance from any consultant. Relationship - Spouse, De facto Partner, Evidence of I am single / never married. Form 956 Advice by a migration agent/exempt person I am not taking assistance from any consultant.
  11. Hello Everyone, Just applied for 887, lets see when my turn comes. Questions for the pros, I mentioned my mom as a Non-Accompanying Member Of Family Unit. Now, I have her name listed for documents and medicals, although there are no recommended documents or medicals for her. She is not dependent upon me as she has her own pension and funds. Should I fill in the incorrect information form? Aren't medicals required for 887? The processing time on the website says"Low Volumes" is that correct coz on this thread I have noticed ppl who have applied way back in Jan 2018 but are still waiting? Looking forward to hearing from you.
