  1. Granted. Applied on 16/06/2019 First contact on 03/06/2020 CO Kimberly (request for updated AFPs, IELTS for main applicant + few documents that CO couldn't open / find but have been uploaded) Granted today this afternoon. This forum was very helpful and I would like to thank all people that shared correct information and their experiences that helped me to prepare my application. Good luck with grant to all applicants. Advice: After applying, move focus from application/this forum, live your life fully... and come back here after an year to check the dynamics of visa processing and go from there - add additional documents if new requirements popped-up in the meantime (such as English competency proof for main applicant that wasn't required before in my case,...) or/and complain,.... This will save your nerves from negative thoughts and unnecessary anxiety - this is the process you cannot affect on. Stay positive - your day will come! Soon! Very soon! Cheers
  2. Hi people, What's the story with requesting functional English from main applicant? I just received letter where CO requests one from myself... I'm sure that functional English for main applicant wasn't on the list this time last year?
  3. MEDICARE - Can I sort out Medicare application in Service Centre for my whole family by myself or all applicants of age 15 & more have to be present as well?
  4. Certification of Documents I wonder if you guys have/had same problem: I have visited a few JP's and no one wanted to certify documents which do not seem to be original (i.e. do not have a blue pen signiture). I have a bunch of such documents which are originals from my pint of view (i.e. Tenancy Agreement, Payslips,... - I've received all of them by e-mail), but they are not from a JP's point of view. Somehow I ended with some JP who accepted to put "Statutory Declaration stamp" where I declare (in front of JP) that presented document is a true copy of original document. What are your thoughts, is this kind of certification has the same value (from the CO point of view) as the one where JP itself declares that the document is a true copy of original document?!?
  5. Do tax documents can be obtained online or some specific institution needs to be visited in order to get those documents? Thanx!
  6. Is PCC required if t<6 months (t=time spent in particular country; country≠Australia)? Thanks
  7. Bugger! You see, these days people are not even allowed to cheat to achieve an objective I don't know where this world is heading to....
  8. What do you think about an idea of applying for 887 a few months before having completed 2 years of living in the designated area (if meet all other criteria)?! If CO never opens the case before certain amount of time passes, this time could be calculated into 2 years… E.g. if we know for sure that there is no chance that CO would open the case within 5 months of application, the applicant could apply when having 20 months of living in reg. area criteria fulfilled and during next 4 months upload required proofs of 2 year living… In this case, at the point of time when CO open the case, all requirements would be met. Any thoughts on this hypothetical chronology?
  9. All right, I'm not worried much about IELTS since the secondary applicant achieved much higher grades than myself as primary one... Just don't wanna take the children through the Medical again, which is stressful for them and not cheap as well...
  10. Many thanks, Honey! That's reassuring.
  11. Hi everyone, I'm about to apply for 887 the next month.... I'm confused by one thing - a few tens of pages ago you were telling that Medical is not required for 887, just for new born children (born while holding 489), and just a few pages ago someone said that they requested Medical for the children (as I've understood, older children, already examined when applied for 489). Could someone please explain the Medical thing properly? And the other thing, does dependant needs to take the English exam again, if passed while taking for 489 application? Thanks and good luck to everyone!
