Hi all Lovely sunny day here in Adelaide! A quick question, Patrick has just arrived and is putting his CV together. He's here on my 457 Visa and can of course work - what's the best way to explain it? A less is more approach as in: Visa Status: Full working rights in Australia or, should we be more descriptive? Also, his background is finance - general and specialising in tax... any suggestion of any good recruitment agents or contacts would be very gratefully received! Cheers Rachel

If anyone is looking for a mortgage broker or financial advisor, we can highly recommend Andy & Stacey at Vista Financial Services, in O'Halloran Hill (www.vistafs.com.au). We recently purchased a house in the Blackwood area, and we used Vista Finance for our mortgage, following a recommendation from a friend. Andy & Stacey were fantastic - so helpful, professional, proactive and responsive - but also very approachable and very easy to work with. They kept a watchful eye on every step in the process and were able to answer all our questions - making the home-buying process much less scary than it could have been. Our situation was complicated due to several factors, and therefore we may not have been eligible for a home loan! But Stacey did an amazing job of putting together a good case for us, which was enough to convince the lender to give us a home loan! Thank you Stacey! We are forever grateful!! Highly Recommended!!

Hi everyone, New here - just joined PIO and thought I'd join here too as it looks like the visa we will be applying for is a 176 SS SOL4 (Primary Teacher) and therefore hope to be sponsored by SA. I have been reading up about state sponsorship and am now very worried as it states something about proof of financial capacity (AU$25k + $5k per extra applicant). Well, we don't have this at the moment, we will have (or near enough) by the time we hope to move (I've given this a timeline of 12 months for VISA and 6 months to sort things/say goodbye). But it is not money from assets, it will be money from saving our salaries (which we are CERTAIN we will be able to do). So basically, I have no solid proof. I noticed that proof of funds is not on the document list for SS, so do they even require proof? If so, what can I do to get around this/sort it? HELP!!!! Dani xx
