Hi there We are doing a Validation visit to Adelaide in July/August. We're a family of 4 and the 2 little ones are age 2 and 7. We have currently booked a few days in Glenelg and a few days in Stirling to get a feel for the different areas. We are wondering on the 3rd area we could visit and need some help. Should we also stay in the CBD? Should we stay more down south like Brighton or Seacliff? Maybe Norwood or more north of the CBD? We are trying to find out what suburbs are nice to live in, not too cramped and not congested (we're from the UK so not interested in too many queues ?). We need to also look for good Primary schools. Once we move, our final destination will need a good sized garden, along with a view of some sort (sea or hills), it just boils down to space and views but not too far out with lots of traffic. Not asking for too much are we! ?. Has anyone got any advice on where this 3rd holiday stay could be? I am thinking of Norwood, Brighton or going 40 mins north or south from the CBD, but don't have any idea on how remote they really are. We both need jobs, so don't want to make it difficult for ourselves xxxxxx

Tourism Australia have some videos on You Tube. Thought some people might like to take a peek at the highlights of Aus so to speak. My hubby sent me the link to the national one and simply said 'Shall we?'. Some of the places shown are on our bucket list of places for us to to visit together/as a family in Aus. And if you click this link below you'll see a few more short ads including ones for Adelaide city, the Adelaide Hills, the Murray river and Barossa Valley http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2E771820199177E5&feature=plcp Tourism Australia's Latest Ad http://youtube/3pOVfJwBd5s South Australia's latest ad http://youtube/Jr2dusyz1iw Kangaroo Island http://youtube/kp4NGShh944 There's nothing like Australia: South Australia. http://youtube/FoBxq8lB2iY

Me: Over the moon, OMG i can't wait. Plans: Umm.. Well.. 1: Book a flight 2: Get an Aussie bank account 3: Not sure, maybe some1 can help me? I believe i want to buy a backpack, start in Adelaide, work at fruit-picking jobs in the Hills, then travel a bit. I am only 19, only ever dreamed of doing this. Any tips, and i mean any would be greatly appreciated. Plan to arrive in Adelaide 2nd week of August (I think). Please tell me everything you know about Australia /Chris

We flied Etihad Airways (based south of Dubai in a place called Abu Dhabi) business class from London Heathrow through Abu Dhabi then onto Sydney. Etihad were FANTASTIC would recommend them to ANYONE even if flying Economy. So were all exited and we arrive in Abu Dhabi. Looks great, go for a sleep in the Hilton Corniche Hotel then go to a mall. This is the only thing to do here. We found it soooo dreadfully boring that we went on expedia.com and changed our flights to the next day for FREE! Now the problem with transit holidays when emigrating is that you 'just wanna get there'. So if you feel the urge to then by all means stay for a few nights but i recommend only one or even just stay at the airport and then go 2hours after. Hope this helps, and when you sit in your hotel room in Singapore or where ever bored stiff you would have wished you would of listened to the 12 year old who is writing this Marshall
