2014 Australia Day Bush Fair Sunday 26 January, 5.30–9.30pm South Adelaide Football Club oval Lovelock Dr, Noarlunga Downs Celebrate the bush to the beach at the very popular City of Onkaparinga Australia Day Bush Fair. Families will love the Bush Fair with a gold coin entry for all free activities and entertainment. Claim your spot on the oval, set up a picnic and be entertained with some fabulous bands; Oz Rock Live and The Amazing Drumming Monkeys and special guest MC Triple M’s Cosi. Explore a variety of stalls offering local food, refreshments, wares and novelties available for purchase. There will be Aussie experiences for everyone including camel and pony rides, rock climbing, sandcastles, Splodge giant games, native animals, the GymBus, face painting, mini train rides and more! Then get ready for a spectacular finale with our 3D fireworks display* synchronised to music. * In the case of extreme weather conditions (or other safety concerns) the fireworks display may be cancelled. 2014 City of Onkaparinga Pure Blonde Stage 5 associated events McLaren Vale to Willunga Hill Saturday 25 January City of Onkaparinga The Santos Tour Down Under peloton and cycling fans will once again descend upon the City of Onkaparinga for Pure Blonde Stage 5 of the 2014 Santos Tour Down Under. Record attendance numbers are again expected with thousands of people set to line the course to cheer on their cycling heroes and Stage 5 is more than just a cycling race, it’s a party – and you’re invited! Enjoy the live coverage or travel the race route and let Stage 5 take you on a tour of our city’s stunning and diverse landscape. The race will start at McLaren Vale, our famous wine region with world class vineyards, cellar doors and restaurants. The riders will then head south, only a short trip to our stunning coastline at Aldinga Beach which boasts clear gulf waters and one of our pristine beaches. As anticipation builds for the hill top finish, follow the peloton as it travels around the historic township of Willunga. Set with the natural beauty of old gum trees and rolling hills the challenge of Willunga Hill will then present as we witness what is expected to be another exciting battle for Stage 5 victory. Watch live race coverage on giant TV screens in McLaren Vale, Willunga and Willunga Hill and enjoy trackside roving entertainment in Willunga. Traffic restrictions Total road closures and parking restrictions will be in place during the race, including event set up and pack up. A traffic restriction schedule will soon be available. SAPol will manage rolling road closures along the race route while the race is in progress. During the rolling road closures traffic will not be permitted on the road until the riders have passed.
