    Hello everyone!

Hello everyone, I've just joined the forums as my partner and I will be moving to Adelaide in March 2018 and I was hoping to make a few friends before we land. I am soon to turn 30 and my partner is 37. We like dining out, films and cricket (more him than me!). Any recommendations, advice or friendship would be gratefully received. Ofolopomus
  2. Hey everyone! I have just moved here with my bf we are 28 and 29 looking to meet up with people to socialise and help us settle in to our new city! Anyone free to meet up for drinks please pm me
  3. Hello Everyone, The plan is to meet up and make some new friends on Friday 2nd October from 7pm onwards in Adelaide CBD at The Gallery Rooftop Bar which can be found just off Waymouth St. As always there is no charge for any of this, you just purchase your own food and drinks (the venue is free to get into). It's always a great chance to meet new people and have a bit of a laugh. It's open to anyone who is 18 or over. Please register your interest for the event below, and feel free to invite others. The bar does not take bookings for Friday nights so we will have to find a table when we get there. They have a great menu which can be found here: http://www.galleryadelaide.com.au/pdf/food.pdf To find the Gallery bar, walk down Cordwainers Lane (just off Waymouth Street) and you will see the entrance on your right (a big glass door). Take the stair or the lift up to the top floor. If there are any newbies who are a little shy or just don't fancy walking in on their own then feel free to PM me and I'll be more than happy to meet you outside and walk in with you. We have set up a Facebook event which can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/740953639342659/ For those that aren't keen on Facebook then feel free to PM me (on here or on Facebook), or ask any questions on this thread. Everyone and anyone (over the age of 18) is very welcome: all nationalities, backgrounds and cultures - the more the merrier! Karen

24 hours in and wanted to brag

HUBI and I arrived in adelaide last night, from London. Call it jet lag but I just wanted to say hello. We are staying near Hutt Street for 6 or so weeks until the shipping container arrives. It took months to get everything organised, house let, packing, flights booked, the kitten injected and his flights booked, etc etc. and now it is like the reverse needs doing, discover the area, find a rental, make new friends, find a Virgin Active equivalent gym. The HUBI starts his new job Wednesday, so if anyone would like to meet up, just yell. About us: professional couple. No kids. Late 30s/Early 40s. Love to travel.
  6. Hi all, I've been in Adelaide for around 6 months now and haven't met as many new people / friends as I thought I would. I moved over from Melbourne to live with my now fiance who is from Coventry, I'm originally from Berkshire but spent most of my childhood in Yorkshire (near Selby) then moved to Dorset (near Poole) before moving over to Melbourne with my family 5 years ago. Anyway... I'm looking to find a new group of girl friends in Brighton & surrounding areas. Cheers and have a great night.

    Moving in August

I'm 15 and my Dad has just been offered a job in Edwardstown and we are looking into moving to the Christie's Beach area. We are coming to visit over Easter to look at the area and schools. Has anyone got any good schools they can recommend and what is there to do in the area? I would quite like to get to know some people around my age before I move as well so at least I will know some people as soon as I arrive.
