Hi all Lovely sunny day here in Adelaide! A quick question, Patrick has just arrived and is putting his CV together. He's here on my 457 Visa and can of course work - what's the best way to explain it? A less is more approach as in: Visa Status: Full working rights in Australia or, should we be more descriptive? Also, his background is finance - general and specialising in tax... any suggestion of any good recruitment agents or contacts would be very gratefully received! Cheers Rachel

People who live in Southern Adelaide can get free career pathways help between now and November 2013 on a new project called Next Steps. Do you know anyone who wants to learn about resume writing, training opportunities, receive career guidance, find out about employer's needs, attend free workshops on topics such as online job search and interview skills - plus receive free 1:1 help to identify and take the next steps along their career path? Government funded project available through Bridget of HR Development at Work - to get full details emailed to you (use Next Steps in subject title). (See website for email, link below) Eligibility: must have the right to work in Australia and not be in full-time education. Must live in Onkaparinga, Marion, Mitcham or Holdfast Bay Council areas (and we make some exceptions for Unley and Plympton). If you are not sure of your eligibility just email me. We are starting a program in April (In the marion/glandore area of Adelaide) for any job seeker who really wants a job and who is wanting help and advice. Only requirement is to attend workshops and to put in several hours a week on your own job search. Sounds too good to be true? It isn't! We've got sponsoship from a government department to run this free for particpants. If you are ready in Adelaide to start your job search in April - contact me and get some free help with resume writing, interview skills, networking and job search. 15 places available. Details still being arranged but the program is likely to include a 3 hour workshop once a week for 8 weeks (possibly spread over 10 weeks with a 2 week gap for Easter). hello every one, i am new here and i will go to australia (adeliade) in the next few months. i have about 6 years of experience in sheet metals( cutting, press brake, CNC plasma cutter). i just dont know how to write my resume in aussie style which i know is one of the most important things to get a job. so would you please help ....
