UAE Police Checks

We’re in the process of applying for permanent residency and getting police checks. We lived in the UAE (Abu Dhabi) for just over a year so we have to get a police check from there as well as the UK.

For the UAE check, we have to get fingerprints from the police here and send them to the Embassy in Canberra for authentication. Apparently we need to fill out a form to take to the police station but no one can tell us where to get this form. UAE Embassy didn’t send us one and I’ve tried the police who said to call the Dept. of Immigration who said they knew nothing. Can anybody who has had to do this help us out? Any help/advice would be really appreciated.
