Temporary resident

Hello everybody....have just stumbled upon this site and thought I'd give it a go. The wife and I (both in our late fifties but can still rock-n-roll) will be resident in Adelaide throughout 2010 and living in the district/suburb of Goodwood. Can anyone give me a brief description of the area including crime levels, quality of public transport and most important of all whether there are any decent pubs in the area.

Also is there a vibrant ex-pat football scene going on? Although I've lived on Tyneside for over 30 years, I would still like to see the Chelsea boys (brought up in London) in action even though this would involve early morning TV watching.Looking forward to any comments. Thanks.
