hi my mum and dad want to come to adelaide for the uk to live the problem is that thay have been told the only way thay will be able to come is if my dad gets a job that will sponsor them he is an engineer and has been for 30 years so does anyone now of any engineering jobs thanks

In the last year, engineering has been struggling here (and globally of course).

A year ago, my place was sponsoring people (on the 457 or 475?) from overseas. Not anymore, and they've had to live with the legacy of retaining people that they couldn't fully employ in order to fulfill their obligations to the visa, so i would think it would be a while before they entertained the idea again.

What breed of engineer is he? Specialist engineers are often in high demand even in this climate - stress engineers for instance.
