Suburb Information

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone would be able to give me some more information on the suburbs of Adelaide? Where is the best place to live? Where are the best schools? What is the cost of living in this area? Is it safe and clean?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If everyone who is here answered you would be none the wiser!!! We would all say the sub we live in because we chose as it suits us. The best thing to do is come, rent, and look around. Work place, then schools are the important issues when choosing a suburb.

I'll second that ;)

Suburbs can look great on paper but always better to look for yourself.

If you narrow down your search a little then people could comment I'm sure.

One person cannot really advise another where to live - especially one we have never met as we don't know your likes and dislikes

This is how we narrowed some suburbs down for when we arrived - we got a map sent to us with the suburbs on and downloaded Google Earth so we had an idea where places were. We knew we wanted to be by the beach, somewhere that Dawn could play out, near enough for Greg to get a unit for work without a long commute (so we narrowed this down to Lonsdale for the works unit), close to a school as I do not drive yet, close to shops and in a quiet area :D

When we arrived we had a list of about 10 suburbs which we had a look around on arriving - some were ruled out straight away and others popped up along the way as possibles. Everything looks so different online to real life so just enjoy your research and have a good hunt around when you arrive ;)
