Aussie Police Checks for PR application

Just a pointer to those who it might affect.

 

Our PR application for the 892 visa is in, I thought I was being good submitting police checks WITH the application to help speed it up, however, I just wasted $100, as for the PR, they want AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE National Police Checks, not the National Police Check issued if you apply through your local SA police station.

 

May not be the same for all visas and I have raised the point with my CO, she is going to look into it, but just to give you a possible heads up.

 

Guess I must have misread or misunderstood info in application - my error, but I would guess an easy one.

Yes we needed to get the Federal Police checks too. Does not take too long to come through luckily. Good luck with your application.

you look up AFP on google and forms are under checks for immigration I think they are 43 dollars each ours came back in a week
