Hi all ,

Hoping to gain some useful advice as i have had good responses upto now, my question is(of 1001) how long will our visa take, my hubby has a job and is on a 457 visa our migration agent told us we would have our visa by Christmas 2009 is this right coz i see so many people on this site waiting for visas for months on end ..and we are supposed to be only a few months is this right or anyone had the same experience as us ? We have put our house up for sale ,so are we doing the right thing or what?

It really does depend on so many things it's hard to accurately gauge how long it will take - if your agent is any good, the approximate timeframe they've given you shouldn't be too far from the mark, especially if your visa application is straighttforward; the 457 does take priority over the standard PR visa too (or at least it used to) which should help.

 

Others who've migrated recently should be able to give you a better idea...
