Introduction, at last!

Hi

After months of reading & posting on this forum, we can finally introduce ourselves properly - including a new avatar photo!!

 

We are Phil (45) & Marianne (35) and are very grateful for all the help & advice we have received on this forum.

 

We didn't want to identify ourselves until the move was definitely happening & we had handed notice in at work, but it really is happening now. We arrive in Adelaide on 27 November after spending a few days in Singapore.

 

We have just been told we have got OAA which is brilliant, but don't know where it is yet. At least we won't be homeless over Christmas! All our stuff has gone (thanks to John Masons who were fantastic - highly recommended) & we are living out of suitcases in a holiday cottage until we leave the UK on the 18th. We have now got the excitement back after weeks of house sale stress, family stress etc & can't wait to get to Adelaide.

I can really relate to your post. Our packers arrive 7am tomorrow, then we too have a short spell in a holiday cottage before leaving on the 15th, arriving in Adelaide on the 25th after hopefully winding down and chilling out on the gold coast. Can't wait to get there and walk down the beach and feel some warmth.

 

Hope it all goes well, at least you've got all the packing finished and can relax a bit now.

We are currently living in Lytham St Annes, but Phil is originally from Bolton, and I am from Gloucestershire.

 

We are really excited about the move, but we are very tired after the stress of moving house! Hopefully a few days downtime will have us back to full health!

 

Can't wait to feel the warmth of the Adelaide sun!

There is plenty of warmth next week with Mon, Tues and Wed forecast to be 35C, 37C and 37C!! Can you come a bit earlier? LOL
