Wanted Down Under

    Recommended Posts

    Hi Guys,

After dreaming for the past 4+ years, we are finally going to Adelaide in Feb 2010! Yes, we are going to be appearing on BBC's wanted down under programme - we feel very lucky indeed!!

We want to stay on after filming or about 2 weeks and are therefore looking for somewhere to rent. We want to be based South area - Aldinga Beach, Hallet cove etc. Can any of you fab people guide us please.

    Thanks

    Bev :wubclub:

    Great news.

We applied about 3 years ago then got a call out of the blue, filmed at home a week later, then got news we were on about a week after that. We only got about 6 weeks notice in total but was worth it. We went to Darwin as was in July and they wanted it to be hot. Beautiful place but not for us to live.

The programme helped though in other matters but its very tiring.

We moved on after filming to Adelaide and Brisbane and was great. We stayed in Glenelg in hotel right on the beach which was great but there are lots of motels and hotels around.

Say hi to Will for us and make sure he doesnt loose anything!!. Cant wait to go back.

Hire a car with sat nav, visit a new building estate as they are an eye opener, and Cleland Park is fantastic.

Tyke and Roo1 have rentals. So does Diane I think and I'm not sure about Hardycot.

On the front page, there used to be a link to accommodation.

We're on the revisited programme, again (how do things change when you've been here a couple of years)...Will came over about 6 weeks ago to film here.

    Hi,

Can definitely recommend Tyke's Seaford Rise accommodation. Not only a great place to stay, but Russell is a mine of information.

It's a beautiful area to be based, not too far from city, right on the doorstep of several fantastic beaches, etc. Have fun- what an adventure ahead.
