Awesome day out fishing

Phew!

 

Just come in from a terrific day's fishing with a bloke that works at the Tackle Shop in Chrisites Beach (The Anglers Choice)

 

We'd been threatening to have a day out fishing and today was the day.

I rang him up on the offchance as a new arrival had to back out due to job interview ( cheers mate but hope the interview went well:))

 

So Mark and I headed out to one of his favourite areas.

He did show me a few different techniques and introduced me to using lures in a most deadly manner.

 

5 hours fishing produced.

 

49 Tommy Ruff ( destined for the smoke box)

1 Snook ( evil,long and tooty)

1 Sea Pike (as above but fatter)

5 Barracuta

4 King George Whiting.

7 Large Leatherjackets.

7 Salmon Trout.

 

Most caught on lures.

 

Apart from the KG's and Leatheries - and the largest Port Jackson Shark we've ever seen!

 

Happy days!

Small Flathead.

 

Had a bit of an emergency as I fouled the prop with the anchor rope ( never going out with a hangover again!)

Managed to free it without a swim - phew!

Hmmm Gummys - not gotten into that Sharky area yet.

Must be so much fun bringing em' in - do you catch or release?

Just trying to imagine the mess in Jean Genie if we decided to keep one - think I'd be using a knife instead of a priest:arghh:

Yeah no-worries.

I got a week off work first week of december so will be out a lot then.

Always looking to try new area's so if you know of any please share lol lol lol
