has anyone flown with singapore airlines with a validated visa?. we went in october for a recci trip, just got off the phone with singapore airlines who class this as a used visa and so wont give us the 40kg baggage allowance for our one way flights in march, generously offered 25kg!!! has anyone flown with them and got 40 after previously going on the same visa? if so how and who did you speak to.

ours are a few pages back, dont know if they check, its a lot of money if you're caught out 15kg over your allowance each. might try a grovelling email first

we were in the same position and stuck to our 20kg!

BUT we stocked up on our hand luggage :D

all 4 had full backbags (with heavy items like shoes or books), dh and i had a laptop bag each (again full with any electrical items we could find), i had a big handbag on top

it's a bit tricky to carry it all around (kids are too little to carry their own) - but we managed and once on the plane you can forget about it.

i've put all the things we needed on the plane in a seperate small bag and just left it on top in one of the others. not that we needed anything at all ...
