Do I need a degree?

Hi,

I have been qualified now for nearly 4 years and work in renal nursing. I am currently trying to complete my dissertation for Batchelor of Nursing but it is going really slowly with constant obstacles in respect of progression!

I just wanted to know if I can still work with an Advanced Diploma or do I need a degree? Obviously I have passed the ANMC requirement and have been awarded a visa, but I would like to concentrate on getting the house ready and getting over there and possibly re-start my dissertation when I get out there. It would take a lot of stress off all of us (PMS is nothing compared to study!!):arghh:

I know it would be an advantage to have it but at the moment my sanity is probably more of a priority!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Jane:notworthy:

No you dont, I dont have one and have never had a problem finding a job. I am diploma qualified. They do pay what they call a certificate rate here (I get it for my midwifery qualification - diploma). My husband has a degree so he gets certificate rate but this is payable for any specialist certificate so if you have teaching certificate or icu certificate then you would get the same.
