Port Elliot

If you want to escape the 40+ days and have young kiddies like us, you might want to take a trip down to Port Elliot for the day.

 

We went down there yesterday (Sunday) for the day and found it to be a fair bit cooler than Adelaide (34 C vs 42 C). There's a carpark right by the beach, loos nearby and cafe/ice cream just behind the beach.

 

It's not far from Victor Harbour, just follow the brown signs for 'Swimming Beach' and you'll find it easy enough.

Yes,what a beautiful quiet place.Picturesque,golden sands,clear blue sea and quiet as hell.Just down the road really,if you live south of the City.

It was not quiet on Sunday think everyone was there. The beach was rammed but still lovelly beach and lovellyu setting.

Try Second Valley or Rapid Bay - they are lovely and secluded spots.:)

no-one should ever go into the city then just in case...or travel on the roads....or go in the sea.....or go on a plane...etc etc.....

To be more truthful, the threat was more from the internet than Pt Elliot (she being lured to Pt Elliot to meet someone she'd "met" on t'internet).

So perhaps it would be better advice to remind us parents to teach our kids of the dangers of the internet and take more of an interest in what they're doing when online, rather than to avoid one of the beautiful beaches of the Southern Fleurieu Penninsula
