Unidentified skull in the Onk River National Park!

No, don't worry, we didn't stumble upon some gangland murder scene. We took our first walk in the Park this arvo. It was beautiful. I've never seen so many cockatoos - amazing! We also flushed out a HUGE kangaroo, didn't realise how big they get. Thank God it hopped away from us and not towards us. It must have been sleeping under a bush coz we got within a few m of it before it jumped up

Anyway, the kids found a few bones and started collecting them (don't know why?). Most were just leg bones and vertebrae. Then Kieran found a skull which is now looking at me while I type! We thought it was a roo skull but we've looked on t'internet and it's not. I've looked at skulls from koala, wombat, dog, fox, dingo, possom, even lizard (bit big for lizard) and it doesn't look like any of them. It's elongated, about 6" long with big eye sockets. Lower jaw is missing. Upper jaw has some reasonably sharp teeth so I think it's either omnivore or carnivore. No big canines though.

Any ideas? Sorry I don't know how to post photos from Lisa's camera.

What mammals live in the park? Have I missed any that I listed above?

Kieran is desperate to ID it! It is pretty cool (in a small child/bloke kind of way).

That sounds like it could possibly be a fox skull. can you put a photo of it on here, maybe make it easier for someone to identify it
