Playgroup Tuesdays Old Cottage, Woodcroft

Just thinking of trying to ressurect the playgroup at the Old Cottage, Woodcroft that was started by Sarah and continued by Hayley and Liz.

 

It was a great way to meet people, and you didn't have to have little ones to just come along for a coffee. If you are newly arrived, it is a great way to have questions answered and get out and about. The location is easy to get to and the facilities are great.

 

I have enquired about available spots, it is difficult to get a spot that pleases everyone, however, I propose Tuesdays at 1pm. It is for 1½ hours. The cost would be $2.50 per session (per family) and there is a small membership cost that would have to be covered too.

 

At this stage I am looking to see who would be interested in this/able to attend on a regular basis, before I confirm/decline with the lady on Friday.

That sounds like a good idea. I got 3 little ones. eldest just started preschool. Where abouts would it be Woodcroft as dont always have use of car.

I have said I will let the lady know for definate tommorow, so have to just work out whether it will be a viable thing. Hope so, it sure is a great resource, especially for new arrivals.

Sounds close. I know where bains road is and Reynell Road but not sure if I now where they cross. The Palantinga Road crosses the Reynell Road is that the one??

If that right then it not far from us so should be able to make it.

I probably would Rach, Lumps is still off kindy on a Tuesday until she goes to school in Jan, and with baby coming I may need the company for a bit of sanity.:err:

 

I also have a friend who would most probably be interested. Let me know if its definietly going ahead and I will get her onboard.

Just realised I put wrong road intersection, it is Junction of Reynell and Byards Road. Sorry guys.

 

Hope you can still all make it.

 

Starting 11 May at 1.00pm

The lady who is in charge of co-ordinating the playgroups is going to meet me there then with keys and to run through everything. although hayles, you will already know it all and be able to help us get sorted.

OK, sorry I didn't get organised in time and didn't like to ring the lady in charge of the playgroup on the weekend or public holiday, so no start tommorow I am afraid. I am unable to do next week, so propose start of Tuesday 11 May, how does that work for everyone?

Hi I'll be arriving at the end of May, sounds good, Ive got 2 girls, ellie will be in school and Ruby who is 3 is so used to going to playgroup, it would be great to do it for me to meet new people and for her to socialise 2!! Is it ok 2 contact you when we arrive? also not 2 sure where we are going to secure a rental yet, hopefully around port noarlunga/seaford, is woodcroft close enough? haha sorry u can tell I'm a newbie!!!!

I'm not yet in Adelaide, currently in Auckland and planning to move in a couple of months. I think this is a great idea, I'm looking to live around that area and it would be wonderful to meet people and bring Lola (7 months) to meet you all. Will keep in touch.

will see you there tomorrow, didn't think I would be able to but got made redundant today so am a free agent, will just have Kian with me tomorrow but after that will have 3 little ones if that is ok.

Sounds great shame can`t help you know, but would love a chance to meet mums & play dates when arrive.

 

Haven`t a clue where but used to driving miles to get places
