Just a quick question- sorry to jump on your thread.

 

I didnt think you could bring tents into Oz. We thought we would have to sell ours in the uk and rebuy once in Oz?? With the soil thing etc. They arent that easy to clean, although ours is in really good condition, and we love it. Ours has a build in ground sheet and is huge, so would be a bit awkward to clean( not impossible though).

Is there a chance we can just put it in the container?

We bought our tent over. Cleaned it first - no problem.

we brought our tent, didnt even take it out of the carry bag to check for dirt, just slung it in the container as a last minute thought! It's been all round the world that tent too!!!

We used jeyes fluid on the tent inc ground sheet. No probs. The smell will put customs off from inspecting it!!!!!!
