What Clothes?

Recommended Posts

Guest angiestaff
Hi everyone,

We will be moving over at the end of July and just wondered what we should expect temperature wise so we know what clothes to bring and what can get put in shipping.

Thanks

Jo

don't do what we did when we moved and throw out most of your warm clothes, thinking 'we won't need them any more'!!! :nah:

i'm not sure on figures but it can get chilly, more so early in the morning and evening/night time.

pack ur winter duvets cos when u have been here a while you'll be moaning like the rest of us when it drops to single figures! lol

also it rains more in winter than you think (or at least it did last year).

That's about the coldest and wettest time of the year so bring your fleeces!!

Best wearing layers here.

We can have some cracking winters days ( like today actually), very sunny and warm in the sun but the evening get cold.

Hi,

Pack warm clothes, we brought flannelette sheets in our cases, as it is cold.

We don't wake up to a warm central heated house anymore. We also arrived in July and it is cold.

Hi Jo

We arrived on 9 July 2009 and it was like winter here in Adelaide..... We only brought with us summer clothes so I would pack jackets and warm clothing. Sorry to bust you bubble but it does rain here but the Ozzies love tte rain as you will find out when you arrive.

Winter is not long to wait for the beautiful sunshine you only see on hols.

Hope your traveling goes well. Just relax and enjoy it and hope to speakto you when you arrive. Where will you be living? We are in Burnside

Thanks for the tips. We shall be coming out for 2 weeks from 11th July to activate visas before the big move later (hopefully in time for Christmas!).

Would love to meet up with anyone to share tips etc?
